This is how I clean Tostem India windows. The tools and technique below come from 25 years of daily professional work on the glass. Every step has been tested on real installations and adapted specifically for Tostem India systems.

My daily tool list. This is what I carry to every job.
Follow these steps in order. Each one builds on the last. This is the same sequence I use on every Tostem India installation.

1. Pre-rinse with clean water to remove North India dust loading.

2. Apply pH-neutral detergent to glass and frames.
- 3
3. Squeegee glass top to bottom; overlap strokes.
- 4
4. Wipe aluminium frames with microfibre along extrusion direction.
- 5
5. Clear weep holes; check gasket seating at sill - Tostem pre-engineered sills drain well but can collect monsoon debris.
Pro Tips
- Tostem Japan-engineered hardware is high quality - do not force or lever mechanisms. If stiff, PTFE spray the pivot point.
- Pre-engineered systems have tighter frame-to-glass tolerances - be careful not to force water into gasket zones under pressure.
