Why This System
Premium bespoke systems use anodised or high-build powder-coat finishes that are significantly more sensitive to harsh cleaning chemicals than standard powder coat. Custom glazing on premium systems often includes specialist coatings - solar control, anti-reflective, self-cleaning - that require coating-specific cleaning protocols. Glass with Specialist Coatings
- Confirm glass coating specification before cleaning. Anti-reflective and self-cleaning coatings require specific products - a standard squeegee clean is not always appropriate.
- Pure water fed pole rinse is safe on all coating types as a first approach.
- If no coating specification is available, clean with pure water only and flag for the property manager.
Premium Aluminium Frames
- Anodised frames: clean with pH-neutral solution and a microfibre cloth only. No abrasives, no alkaline products, no citrus cleaners.
- High-build powder coat: same protocol as anodised. Rinse thoroughly.
- Metallic finishes: test any cleaning product in a hidden area before full application. Metallic powder coats vary widely in chemical tolerance.

Exterior glass - pure water rinse
Rinse all exterior glass with pure water to remove salt and organic deposits before applying any solution.

Apply verified-compatible glass cleaner. Squeegee from top to bottom with careful lap management on large panels.

Frame clean
Wipe anodised or powder-coated frames with pH-neutral solution and microfibre. Rinse thoroughly.

Hardware inspection and documentation
Check and document hinge alignment, lock operation, seal condition, and any visible surface issues.

- On premium projects, carry a waterproof notebook and make condition notes on-site - do not rely on memory for documentation
- If a premium system has not been cleaned in more than 12 weeks in Singapore, budget at least 50% extra time for the first clean
What NOT To Do
- Do not use standard alkaline or solvent cleaning products on anodised aluminium frames
- Do not apply any glass cleaning solution to specialist-coated glass without confirming compatibility
- Do not use abrasive pads on any premium aluminium finish
- Do not clean premium systems without documenting hardware and frame condition before and after
