Follow these steps in order. Each one builds on the last. This is the same sequence I use on every Granada Aluminium installation.

    2. Apply pH-neutral detergent to glass and powder-coated frames.

    3. Squeegee glass top to bottom; overlap strokes.

    4. Wipe frames with microfibre along extrusion direction.

    5. Clear weep holes - Saudi sand packs into drainage slots on every visit.

Pro Tips

  • Older Granada systems (10+ years) will have dried-out gaskets - clean carefully around seals, do not force water behind them.
  • Riyadh summer: clean before 7am. After that, glass and frame temperatures make cleaning ineffective and detergent bakes on instantly.
  • Coastal installations in Jeddah: salt deposits at weep holes are the primary corrosion point - clear and rinse these thoroughly.

  • Do not use acid descalers on Granada powder-coated frames.
  • Do not clean with dry cloths in dusty conditions - sand scratches powder coat.
  • Do not force stiff hardware mechanisms - Saudi heat causes aluminium expansion.
