Follow these steps in order. Each one builds on the last. This is the same sequence I use on every Fenestra Oy installation.

1. Pre-rinse exterior aluminium profiles with pure water from top to bottom

2. Scrub any stubborn mineral or pollen deposits with a non-abrasive pad on the aluminium outer only

3. Clean glass with squeegee in overlapping vertical strokes

4. Detail window rebates and sill channels with a brush - remove trapped grit
- 5
5. Wipe timber interior reveals with a barely damp microfibre - no drips onto the wood
Pro Tips
- In spring, Fenestra sills collect heavy pollen - rinse before soaping to avoid smearing
- Midnight sun UV in northern Finland accelerates oxidation on pale aluminium profiles - note and report during cleaning
- Check tilt-and-turn hardware for frost damage each spring visit
