Why This System

Eurocell's recycled-content profiles clean identically to virgin uPVC - the recycled material is in the core, not the surface layer. The outer face is a fresh uPVC extrusion. The Modus flush sash system sits level with the outer frame face, eliminating the traditional overhang. This changes the drainage geometry - water sheets off the flush face differently and requires attention to the frame bottom rail where run-off concentrates. Eurocell operates a national branch network, meaning the same profiles appear across very different UK climates - coastal Cornwall, urban Manchester, rural Scotland. Cleaning approach needs to reflect the local climate, not just the profile type.

Official Care Guidance

No official guide published. The steps below are based on Justin Orloff's 25 years hands-on experience with this system.

Step 2 of 2: The Orloffs Protocol

The Orloffs Protocol

This is how I clean Eurocell windows. The tools and technique below come from 25 years of daily professional work on the glass. Every step has been tested on real installations and adapted specifically for Eurocell systems.

Pro Tips

  • When working on properties with Eurocell conservatory roofs, clean the roof glazing bars and drainage channels before the windows - debris from above contaminates the windows if you work bottom-up
  • On UK coastal properties with Eurocell roofline, check the back of the fascia boards during ladder access - salt air gets behind the fascia and causes premature clip corrosion
  • Flush sash Modus windows are often in heritage or conservation areas - work cleanly and avoid leaving tool marks or solution drips on the smooth outer face, which is visible from street level

What NOT To Do

  • Do not use bleach or chlorine-based cleaners on any uPVC frame surface - accelerates surface yellowing
  • Do not use abrasive pads on the frame face including roofline products
  • Do not pressure wash conservatory roofs directly - high pressure forces water into glazing bar joints
  • Do not use solvent-based cleaners near rubber gaskets or glazing unit edges
  • Do not leave cleaning solution residue in drainage channels or rebate grooves

Field Notes

โ€œEurocell roofline products on the same property as windows are often in worse condition than the windows because they are rarely cleaned independently. Factor roofline cleaning into the quote if the customer has Eurocell fascia and soffit alongside windows. Modus flush sash systems are increasingly common in conservation areas and heritage streetscapes across the UK. Check with the customer whether any windows are in a conservation area before suggesting any product treatments. In Scotland and Northern England, green algae on north-facing Eurocell fascia can be severe. Soft brushing with a diluted pH-neutral cleaner removes it safely - pressure washing detaches the fascia clips.โ€
