Follow these steps in order. Each one builds on the last. This is the same sequence I use on every Alumil India installation.

1. Identify finish type: powder coat (common) or anodised (less common in India). Anodised needs extra care.

2. Rinse frames with clean water - flush salt-air deposits on Mumbai coastal installs before detergent.

3. Apply pH-neutral detergent; clean glass top to bottom.

4. Wipe frames with microfibre along extrusion direction.

5. Clear weep holes; inspect silicone seals at curtain wall joints if applicable.
Pro Tips
- Powder coat on Alumil profiles is high quality but not impervious - never use acid descalers or alkaline degreasers.
- Anodised Alumil profiles: avoid any alkaline product - it etches anodised surfaces permanently.
- Curtain wall silicone joints on Alumil facade systems: report any cracking to the client - silicone joint failure is a waterproofing issue, not a cleaning problem.
What NOT To Do
- Do not use abrasive products on anodised aluminium profiles.
- Do not use acidic products on powder-coated Alumil frames.
- Do not pressure wash directly into curtain wall silicone joints.
