- Pre-rinse with clean water to remove organic matter and surface deposits before applying cleaning solution.
- pH-neutral glass cleaning solution. Squeegee top to bottom. Overlap strokes.
- Check glass unit seals - equatorial UV and humidity accelerate seal degradation.
Aluminium Frames
- Inspect frame surfaces for organic growth in shaded areas before cleaning. On algae or mould growth, use a dilute pH-neutral anti-fungal solution before standard cleaning.
- pH-neutral solution wipe on all frame surfaces. Rinse thoroughly in shade or after the sun has moved off the surface.
- Inspect for powder coat chalking on every visit. Document and report.
Tracks and Drainage
- Clear track channels at every visit. Indonesian organic debris - leaf material, insects, organic dust - blocks tracks faster than in seasonal markets.

Check shaded frame areas for algae or mould before standard cleaning. Treat with anti-fungal solution where present.

Rinse glass and frames with clean water.

pH-neutral solution, squeegee.

pH-neutral wipe, rinse thoroughly.

Clear tracks, clear weep holes.
Pro Tips
- In Indonesian equatorial conditions, organic growth returns within 4 weeks in shaded areas - a mild anti-fungal additive in the frame cleaning solution on every visit slows regrowth
What NOT To Do
- Do not scrub organic growth on aluminium frames with abrasive pads - use anti-fungal solution and soft cloth
- Do not skip weep hole clearing in equatorial conditions - drainage failure is year-round risk
- Do not use alkaline or solvent cleaners on powder-coated frames
